This derelict Huguenot farmhouse was a full refurbishment and interior design project. Parts of this house were over 400 years old with extensions added over four centuries.
The challenge was to marry the original farmhouse with an extension at the rear of the home. We wanted a modern country feel so we designed clean lines and used a palette of soft and natural tones.
The house had a lot of small windows and it was important to create a space where the garden visually became part of the home. With a pitched roof, reclaimed beams and a large bespoke window design, this house flows into the outdoor space and maximises the views of the rambling wild garden.
